| Dear Editor, Our hospital? I don’t think so! It sounds more like Swift Current’s Hospital since it’s them dictating how and what we build. Come on now, let’s face facts of just how much we will save to ship laundry to Regina at $1.21 per litre (and that’s now, what will it be a year from now), a vehicle to haul laundry and to maintain, only to get to Regina where we will have to pay employees to wash and dry (if you’re lucky they will come back clean and dry) and ship back. Let me try to break this down, a driver at $25 plus per hour x 8 hrs = $200. Gas per day to travel to and from Regina, $200 per day; an employee to wash and dry laundry $12 per hour x 8 hrs = $96 (and they will have more than one) for a total of $496 per day to send to Regina. That works out to be $62 per hour for eight hours. I’m sure doing laundry here works out to be cheaper and by far better. I might be a little high, but I’m sure I’m in the ball park. Really, how stupid are some people who are in charge of our health care? And how much money has the public put forth for our so-called hospital? And we still have NO SAY! Maybe some dirty laundry needs to end up on the desks of the dummies way up on top of the corporate ladder who suggest these things. After all s--- does roll down hill.
