Dear Editor,
I apologize for this not coming sooner but, my wife and I and I am sure a host of others, would like to thank Dr. Lawrence Heinrich and the rest of the crew at Grasslands Animal Health Services for the wonderful evening they put on for their patrons at the end of January. The beef on a bun was great, as well as the rest of the food and the comedian was very good. There were lots of very nice door prizes later on and we were able to meet a lot of wonderful people that we do not always get to see. Thank you again.
A short while ago it was mentioned in the paper that the town of Maple Creek is looking at a new pet bylaw. This is probably needed. The only part of the bylaw I do not agree with is the proposed part to keep cats tied up. Although there are a few cats wandering around loose they help keep the mice at bay. Tie up the cats and the mice will come. Then we will have to get hold of the Pied Piper to get rid of the mice. Sorry, he only gets rid of rats. Maybe we should hire him and send him to parliament, but then who would we have left to run the country?
As you probably all know, our hospital is closed. From what I understand it is due to poor air quality. Then how does our government in Regina operate with all the BS that goes on in there, it must be almost impossible to breath. It seems odd that after all the hard work the committee did to finally get a new hospital approved and Mr. Hornell’s resignation, that the air is tested in our hospital now. What is more important, a chance to save someone’s life in the hospital or breathing a little bad air? If they are worried about breathing the air, they should be in the big cities on a cold day with all the pollution there. Seems to me there is a rat in the wood pile.
That’s the way I see it.
Gov’t pain,
Walter Arnold
Maple Creek
