By Marcia Love Council discussed the continuing flood clean up situation in Maple Creek on Aug. 10. The town was informed by Public Health that residents must dispose of any remaining flood-damaged materials in a timely manner.

By Marcia Love West Nile virus was confirmed in a mosquito pool in southwestern Saskatchewan earlier this week. Cypress Health Region received notification from the Ministry of Health’s mosquito-monitoring program on Aug. 9 of the virus’ first appearance in the region this summer.

By Marcia Love The Maple Creek Fire Department rushed to battle a blaze at a residence on Walsh Street on Aug. 8. Smoke filled the air as firefighters quickly contained the flames to the house at 204 Walsh Street, where the fire broke out just before 7:30 p.m.
