If it seems like we’ve had a lot of snowfall this winter, it’s because we have.
According to Environment Canada, 107 cm of snow has fallen in the Maple Creek area since October – a time frame that would normally see about 30 cm.

With last week’s thaw, water flowing out of the Cypress Hills forced Agri-Environment Services Branch (AESB, formerly PFRA) to begin releasing water from Junction Reservoir last week.
