Former RM of Maple Creek administrator charged

The former administrator for the RM of Maple Creek is facing charges after alleged theft.
Barbie-Rose Weisgerber had a scheduled appearance in Maple Creek Provincial Court on Thurs., April 13 to answer to charges of fraud and forgery, as well as a charge for making a false statement, under the municipalities act.
“An investigation has been ongoing for about a year now,” said Maple Creek RCMP Sgt. John Phipps.
The investigation began after a complaint was made by the RM office for theft and fraud, according to Phipps.
Charges were first handed down about a month ago.
This was to be Weisgerber’s first appearance in court, although she was not in attendance for her hearing.
The case was adjourned until June 8 in Maple Creek.
