A former administrator for the RM of Maple Creek had charges withdrawn in court Nov. 29 after facing charges of fraud and forgery, as well as a charge for making a false statement, under the Municipalities Act.
Barbie Rose Weisgerber wasn’t in court when the charges she previously faced were withdrawn. Weisgerber was facing charges under Section 380(1) of the Criminal Code for allegedly issuing a cheque made payable to herself for funds in the sum of $10,652.54 she was not legally entitled to, that charge was withdrawn in Swift Current Court.
Weisgerber was facing another count under the same section for allegedly making a false document to the RM Council Meeting Minutes, which was subsequently withdrawn as well. That charge was not a Criminal Code violation but an alleged Municipalities Act violation pertaining to signing a false document, which was dismissed as well.
No further dates are scheduled in court for this case.
