A former Nekaneet First Nation resident who is wanted in connection with a homicide in Fort Qu'Appelle is now being sought out following an alleged stabbing at the Nekaneet reserve last week. Preston Buffalocalf is wanted by Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP on a charge of robbery with violence after a 21-year-old Regina man was stabbed and killed on Dec. 1.
The 25-year-old has been at large since police issued a warrant for his arrest on December 5.
Maple Creek RCMP are now searching for Buffalocalf in connection with a stabbing which occurred at Nekaneet First Nation on Feb. 2.
RCMP were not notified of the incident until the following day.
The incident sent a 24-year-old man to hospital. His condition was not reported by police.
RCMP continue to investigate.
Buffalocalf is one of two men still at large following the Fort Qu'Appelle homicide.
Kelfert Watetch, 20, of Regina is wanted on charges of second-degree murder and robbery with violence. In December, police reported Watetch may have travelled to the Muscowpetung First Nation area or left the province.
Buffalocalf is known to frequent Maple Creek, Regina and Balcarres districts.
RCMP suspect relatives or acquaintances of the two men may have assisted them in evading arrest.
Three men have already been arrested in connection to the Fort Qu’Appelle homicide.
Anyone with information in the whereabouts of Buffalocalf or Watetch is asked to contact Maple Creek RCMP at 662-5550 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
