Frame, Glenn William

FRAME – Glenn William Frame of Medicine Hat passed away on Mon., Feb. 17, 2014, at the age of 95 years, beloved husband of the late MaryLou Frame.  He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Philip (Alma) Frame, Glennda (Barry) Rogers, George (Charmaine) Frame, Jack (Judy) Frame and Tammy (Doug) Duggan; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and William Frame; his wife, MaryLou on December 30, 1990; his three brothers, Hugh, Bob and Jim and his sister, Grace as well as all of their spouses. 

Glenn was born near Senate, Saskatchewan, for a short while they moved to Glentworth and then at age 14 the family moved north of Senate where he was raised and educated.  Glenn worked at various ranches in the community. After enlisting with the RCAF, Glenn served overseas for two years during the war. Upon his return, he began farming with his brother Bob, and in 1948 he purchased the family farm. 

In 1949, Glenn met MaryLou Backman and they were married on February 4, 1950 in Shaunavon. Together, they continued to farm and raise a family. In 1978, Glenn semi-retired and they moved to Medicine Hat where he purchased a gravel truck and began Frame’s General Hauling. Glenn fully retired in 1984 after which he and MaryLou spent time travelling in their motor home.

Glenn was a member of the Redcliff Legion for 52 continuous years.  He refinished furniture as a hobby and loved curling, baseball and had Rider Pride. He also enjoyed his many trips to Vulcan to visit his friend Lola Findlay and her family. 

The funeral service will be held in the Pattison Chapel on Sat., Feb. 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with  Life Celebrant David Townsend officiating.
