FORSAITH – Isobel Joan Forsaith

Isobel was born January 6, 1924 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and passed away January 9, 2014 in North Vancouver BC, at the age of 90, just two days after the passing of her much-loved cousin Elizabeth MacIntosh. Predeceased by her father and mother Harry and Gwen Forsaith and brother and sister-in-law Stuart and Luella Forsaith. She leaves behind her nieces Robin (Ron) Wolfater and Lyn (Glen) Sauder, extended family and well as friends and colleagues in Vancouver.

Isobel spent her early life in the Stone District, attending North Fork school. She finished high school in Calgary and joined the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII. Isobel fell in love with the west coast after being stationed in Nanaimo BC, and after her release, she moved to North Vancouver where she began a long and rewarding banking career with CIBC. After taking early retirement due to failing eyesight, Isobel became actively involved with local community groups assisting seniors in need. The loss of her sight never slowed her down! The family wishes to thank her companions and staff at Cedarview Lodge in North Vancouver for their loving care of Isobel during the final years of her life.

Please join us in a celebration of life honouring Isobel Forsaith and Beth MacIntosh at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the old Williams homestead at Bone Creek (aka the Glen Sauder Ranch aka the Jim Winquist Ranch). Reverend Debra Faulk officiating. For information or directions, please contact Lyn at 306-672-3979.
