MOSS - Margaret Moss (Schmaltz) ~ October 30, 1933 - August 20, 2010 It is with great sadness that we, her family announce her untimely passing at the beautiful age of 76. She leaves to cherish her memories her five children: Margaret (Larry) Kyllo; Josephine (Gordon) Kalmring: Charity (Corbett) Faulkner and Hannah, Kimberly Kalmring, Mark (Chantelle) Kalmring and sons Grayson and Ryler; Rhoda Barrett: Margaret (Ben) Sheward and Samantha, Jennifer Toogood and Toni and Jacob, Tina Barrett-Richards; Lyle, Cherise, Chas, Damien and Daneil Moss; Cory Moss. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Moss in 1997,her parents Joseph and Amalia Schmaltz, her brothers and sisters Clara, Frank, Mary, Peter, Elizabeth, Christian and Tony. She is survived by her brother Joseph Schmaltz, sister Molly Wagner, numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Margaret was born on the farm 16 miles south of Prelate. She lost her mother at the age of eight. She was raised by her father, oldest sister Clara and her brothers and sisters. They moved to Wilkie for a short period of time. As a young woman, she worked in Medicine Hat. She met and married Joseph Moss in 1952 and lived three miles south of Liebenthal They later moved into the hamlet of Liebenthal in 1955 and continued to raise their children. She became an active member in the community. Everyone who knew mom remembers her love of life, softball, her guitar and music, snowmobiling, bingo, baking, family gatherings, cards, her church and faith. Mom always had a hot meal, coffee and the door open for anyone. Margaret will be sadly missed and surely remembered by her family and friends alike. Mom’s wishes would be to give the “gift of love” and generosity to each other! Prayers were held on Tues., Aug. 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Liebenthal Sacred Heart Parish. The funeral was held on Wed., Aug. 25 at 11 a.m. in Liebenthal with Binkley’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
