On Oct. 29, the Cypress Cyclones will be donning the color pink to support the battle against breast cancer.  October is “Hockey Fights Cancer” month all over the hockey world and the Cyclone hockey club would like to invite its fans to the rink to support the battle against breast cancer when they play host to the Saskatoon Quakers.
Fans will have the opportunity to bid on player jerseys throughout the game in a silent auction format.  The lucky fan with the highest bid will be presented with the jersey by the player.  There will also be a donation box available at the admission gate for anyone wanting to donate as well.  The proceeds from the jersey sales will go to a local chapter of an agency that deals with breast cancer research.
Dropping the puck in the ceremonial faceoff will be Marci Windjack, a breast cancer survivor herself and a former Cyclone billet “mom.”
The hockey club is also pleased to announce that Harvey and Erna Peters as well as Blythman Agencies are lending their support to the Cyclones in this cause by being game sponsors for this evening.
The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Arena.

Budget cuts have eliminated community volunteers from both the Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge and Katimavik program. Do you intend to put in the extra time to help out your community?
