Ziegler, Sybil Mary

Ziegler – Sybil Mary was born on October 27, 1911 to Charles and Ethel House at Seven Thorns Bramshott, Southampton England. Sailing to Canada on June 4, 1913 arriving in Halifax on June 12, 1913 and then to Maple Creek arriving on June 21, 1913. She lived in Maple Creek, the Cypress Hills, moving back to Maple Creek district until 1925 when the family moved to the Vidora district.
On October 15, 1929 Mary was married to Dan Ziegler, they lived east of Vidora for three years and then moved to Dan’s homestead in the Oxarat district where she lived until October 1982 when they moved back to Maple Creek. There were two daughters born to them Helen and Clara.
She leaves to mourn her passing; daughter Helen Schmidt, grandson Lawrence Schmidt and granddaughter Catherine (Roy) Goodings. Daughter Clara Eccles, grandsons Jack (Betty) Eccles, and Charles Eccles.
Great grandchildren: Sheila, Lynne, Cindy, Laura, Natosha, and Shaun. Great great grandchildren; Kaitlin, Dexter, Jordan, Lexie, Raimee, Sonni, Hunter, Alyssa, Kage, Dallas, Hugh and special friend Vi Bauer.
Predeceased by her husband Dan, father Charles House, mother Ethel, stepmother Emily, sister Eileen McKenzie, son in laws Alfred Schmidt, and Robert Eccles.
A Funeral Service was held on February 27, 2016 in Maple Creek at the Assembly of God Church with Pastor Hans Martens and Pastor David Manley officiating. Donations may be made to the Southwest Integrated Healthcare Facility to the Long Term Care Unit. Binkley’s Funeral Service Maple Creek & Leader in charge of arrangements.
