BAUER – Elmer Bauer, age 79 years passed away suddenly at his home in the early hours of March 27, 2016.
He was born on the family farm in the Suprise District, west of Golden Prairie, Sask. He married Mavis Heizelman on November 26, 1965. They worked in Maple Creek until April, 1973 when they moved to the ranch in the Piapot District.  Elmer loved his livestock and often just drove around them. His family was special, especially his grandchildren.
Elmer is survived by his wife Mavis,  his son Lydell  (Rhonda) grandchildren Logan and Hailey,  his son Shawn (Tracy), grandchildren Koby and Riley, also his sister Erna Nikolychuk, sister in-law Violet Bauer, brother Henry (Emily), sister Evelyn Heinrich, brother Melvin  (Shirley), sister Eileen (Ed) Moser, brother in-law Garry (Lila) Heizelman,  sister in-law Karen (Doug) Bratton and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his mother and father Peter Sr. and Emelia Bauer, brother Robert, brother in-law Clifford Nikoleychuck,  sister Ella Weis, brother in-law Harold Weis, brother in-law Richard Heinrich,  brother Peter Jr., and mother and father in-law Edwin and Bertha Heizelman.
A Funeral Service was held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Assembly of God Church in Maple Creek with Pastor Hans Martens officiating.
