Kalmring – Donna  ~ Sunrise:  June 25, 1945    Sunset:  May 3, 2017
Born June 25, 1945 in Maple Creek, Donna lived most of her life in Senate, went to school in Senate and Consul then went to secretarial school in Great Falls. She moved to Maple Creek with her father after her Mother passed and lived in Taber, Alta. since 2006.  After suffering many years with a neurological disease Donna passed peacefully in her sleep on May 3, 2017 in Taber.
Donna liked playing board and card games, she was usually lucky and cunning enough to win. It gave her great joy to annoy the other players. She had a quirky sense of humour and loved to tease. She was very good at baking and crafts like knitting, crochet, sewing and ceramics. She also enjoyed helping her mom with canning and gardening.
Donna loved music, played the piano and was a big fan of Elvis. Donna worked in the Senate store and Post Office and was an active member of the Eastern Star serving in several roles.
Predeceased by her grandparents Fred and Ella Duke, and Paul and Alma Kalmring; parents Paul & Margaret (Duke) Kalmring, her sister Irene and many aunts, uncles and cousins;
Donna is survived by: her sister Joan Kalmring of Toronto; her brother Gordon (Josephine) Kalmring of Maple Creek and their children: Charity (Corbett) Faulkner and daughter Hannah, Kimberly, Mark (Chantelle): Grayson and Ryler; her niece Jacqueline Kalmring (Irene’s daughter) and children: Steven, Karen Shufletoski, Diana (Jordan) Baker: Bailey and Lynden and many cousins.
Interment will take place in the Maple Creek Cemetery on May 25, 2017 at 11:30 a.m., Pastor David Manley presiding. Anyone wishing to attend is welcome.
The family is hosting a Memorial Come and Go tea in Donna’s honor on May 25, 2017 from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Cobble Creek Lodge meeting room in Maple Creek.  Please drop by.
Donations may be made to the Rick Hanson Foundation for spinal cord research.
