Maple Creek’s Greyhound depot has moved to Cortech Quality. The depot began operating at its new location April 25 and will continue to offer freight and passenger services.

Sending or receiving parcels and freight will be possible during Cortech’s regular business hours, which are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Outside of office hours the depot will be closed, therefore there will be no after-hours drop-off or pick-up.

Cortech sells passenger tickets during the same business hours. That being said, Greyhound offers online discounts and web-based fares. These Internet promotions make passenger tickets cheaper than the ones sold over the counter at any of the transportation company’s depots.

Greyhound Canada provided training to Cortech’s employees April 25 and explained how the company’s system works.

Owned by Brad Drever, Cortech provides printing and laminating services. It also sells office supplies and equipment along with commercial machines such as laminators, cutters and binders, to name a few. There are Cortech sales offices in Alberta and British Columbia, as well.

Cortech became the new depot after the Commercial Hotel closed before Easter due to company restructuring. Rates remain the same as they were when the depot was at the Commercial Hotel.

More information on the Commercial Hotel’s closure will be published in May 2’s Maple Creek & Southwest Advance Times.

During the interval without a Greyhound depot, freight services were handled by A. M. Delivery and Courier Services of Swift Current.

The new depot is located at 13 1st Ave. Cortech can be reached at 306-662-3360. For online fares, please visit http://www.greyhound.ca.
