KUSLER – Deborah Ann Kusler ~ 1955 – 2014

Deborah Ann Kusler lost her courageous battle with cancer on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the age of 58 years.

Deb leaves behind her best friend, Brett Brooks; brother Darcy (Micky) Kusler and their children Kit and Ann; sister Karen (Chris) Young; father George Kusler; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Deb was predeceased by her mother Marjorie Kusler.

Deb was born in Medicine Hat on August 5, 1955 and spent her early years on the family farm south of Walsh and her teen years roaming the hills of the ranch south of Maple Creek. Deb attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with a degree in physical education. From there she chose a career as RM administrator, and more recently worked at Financial Solutions in Medicine Hat.

Deb will best be remembered as someone who believed in shopping for smokin’ deals especially shoes, enjoying a glass of red wine with friends, a healthy diet interrupted by the indulgence of chocolate, regular exercise, volunteering for special events and arriving “fashionably” late. She will be forever missed by those whose lives she touched.

A celebration of Deb’s life was held at Medalta Potteries on April 25, 2014.

In memory of Deb Kusler, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Friends of Medalta, 713 Medalta Ave. SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 3K9 or St. Joseph’s Hospice, 156 3rd St. NE, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A M51.
