DAVID – Stuart David age 71 years of Eastend, Sask. died on Mon., Dec. 26, 2016 at Eastend Wolf Willow Health Centre with his brother Wayne and sister-in-law Mary Ellen at his side.
Stuart was born at Eastend on Aug. 11, 1945. Stuart was raised on the family farm which he took over and spent his life farming and ranching. He was the recipient of the Century Family Farm Award in 2014. His love in life was the farm along with his love of horses and cattle. He was a member of the Ravenscrag Roping Club and the Farwell Roping Club. He had been involved with the Murraydale Rodeo for many years.
Predeceased by his father Clary on Dec. 8, 1981 and his mother Edlin on May 6, 2008.
Survived by two brothers Allen of Saskatoon, Sask. and Wayne (Mary Ellen) of Grande Prairie, Alta., two step nieces Tanya and family and Deanne and family and his nephew Russell and family.
Funeral Services were held from Eastend United Church in Eastend on Mon., Jan. 2, 2017 at 1 p.m. with Reverend Ken Schrag officiating. Wayne David gave a tribute. Interment took place at Pointview Cemetery at Ravenscrag, Sask.
Binkley’s Funeral Service of Shaunavon was in charge of the arrangements.
Honorary Pallbearers were all those in attendance.
Pallbearers were Glen Duke, Ron Bascom, Herbert Koenig, Jack Ziegler, Wayne David and Randy Armstrong.
