LERNER – Frank Michael Lerner of Medicine Hat passed away on Tues., March 14, 2017, at the age of 88 years, beloved husband of the late Anne Lerner.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Brian (Debbie) Lerner, Stewart Lerner and Ron Lerner; four grandchildren, Dustin (Lacey) Lerner, Jamie Lerner, Xanthe Lerner and Chantara Lerner; one great grandchild, William Lerner; two brothers, Dick (Tillie) Lerner and Alex Lerner; one sister, Margaret Shaw as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Ann Marie Lerner; his wife, Anne on Feb. 25, 2016; four brothers, Adam, Jerome, Ted and Jack and three sisters, Tillie, Anna and Josephine.
Frank was born and raised on the farm east of Fox Valley. He married Anne Bonagofsky on Feb. 12, 1958. They farmed and ranched here until 2004, when they retired in Maple Creek.
In 2014 they moved to Medicine Hat where they remained until their passing. We would like to send out a special thank you to Dr. Foley, and Dr. Witt along with the nurses on 4West.
We would also like to thank Dr. Raya for the special care she provided over the last few years. The care and compassion that you showed for Frank and his family was very much appreciated.
Family and friends gathered for prayers in the Pattison Chapel on Friday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral mass was celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Philip Le celebrant.
